Some of you might have seen a tweet from me last night where I wrote
And so here’s a little background. On the reunion Jill brought out a print out of what she wanted to use as evidence of my “cyber bullying” or “mean tweeting”. She was accusing me of spreading anti semitism by retweeting a tweet that accused someone of being antisemitic. Andy took the paper from Jill and read my final reply which said “Let’s keep religion out of this debate …..“.
For whatever reason this scene didn’t make the final cut of the show and of course, I really wish it would have, as then over 2m fans of the show would have seen that despite all of Jill’s accusations she had singularly failed to cite even one piece of evidence to back them up. Yes, it was great that CBS News did its own investigation on Jill’s accusations against me and couldn’t find anything but it would have been even better if the fans who watch the show had seen for themselves that Jill was crying victim again and was unable to prove any of it.
Now let’s look at the actual tweets that Jill used to try to prove her accusation of cyber bullying/mean tweeting.
In the interests of transparency and as all the tweets are in the public domain I will show them in full both in text and as screen capture plus I will link to them so you are all able to see I am not editing anything.
On April the 9th, 2011 just two days after the first episode aired (you know the one at the wedding where Jill called Alex a fucking bitch and of socializing above her) I received this tweet from @HerPreppiness

So as you can see this person on twitter was accusing Alex of being antisemitic, yet was not stating why.
I did retweet this person and replied by stating

Now so far I don’t see any evidence of me either promoting or spreading antisemitism. Do you?
Then someone else, @TweatCyn, joined the conversation, tagged Jill Zarin’s Twitter account and wrote

So there you have it. That was Jill’s best evidence of my mean tweeting/cyber bullying. Jill who constantly refers to the fact that she has several cyber assistants no doubt had them scour the internet for evidence and this was the only thing that she could produce on the reunion. Like I said to @TweetCyn – “let’s keep religion out of it” and I really wish Jill had done the same.
Lastly, 8 days after this exchange on Twitter, I received an email on a Sunday afternoon from a gossip journalist which said “What is this about you RT and anti Jewish tweet????? “ Clearly someone had run to the press in an attempt to have an article written about me that wasn’t designed to be complimentary toward me. I emailed the journalist back instantly and showed him exactly what I’ve just shown above and the story was never printed as there was no story there. Now, who would run to the press trying to have negative things written about me? I wonder…….

Now November in u.k. and just finished watching second episode this afternoon-we are getting two a day – Jill is a supercilious knowitall idiot who has no appreciation of her life-Ramona I suspect is far from a dizzy blonde and a very canny business woman,Lu-Ann has to be the most condescending,rude,ill mannered lacklustre pointless snob in the whole of new york,Kelly is beyond words and when confronted by an intelligent person posing reasonable questions does not have the brain power to answer so reverts to posing personal criticisms on physical reactions,or she leaves the room for a while and comes back eating sweets-most of us know why-Cindy is alrightish but needs to brush up on her manners,but Alex has to be the best person there. She seems to come from a fairly wealthy background,is educated and intelligent,completely out of her depth having to deal with the above pond life, does not seem to have much to say about the others unless highly motivated and is just a true lady,,,Countless LA should take notes and learn something. The bestest one was Bethenny and Jill Z especially I suspect is heaving at the sound of her name and then has to see Skinnygirl all over…luv it and long may it rain. Sorry that Ramona and Alex are out of the show,I have not seen this series,unfortunately the drag queens are still in the next series I hear….
I have to say this, being a Londoner watching the show religiously on ITV2 over the years, my opinions have varied.
I went from liking Jill, Bethenny, Alex and Simon, being on the fence with Ramona, Sonja, Cindy, Luanne and Kelly…to LOVING Alex, Simon, Ramona, Bethenney and Sonja, disliking Jill, and being perched firmly on that fence with Kelly, Cindy and Luanne Daaaarling.
In regards to this blog, Simon, you really do not need to prove your innocence to this extent. It is clear to see just from watching the show that Jill has a vendeta against you (and I believe against Alex also) to just make you look bad.
London loves you Simon! You’re a genuine, funny, honest, decent man, who loves and protects his Missus and kids…what more can you do?

So glad to see Alex gone. She was so nasty. They made a mistake getting rid of Jill. They should have kept Jill and got rid of Ramona!
I love to watch the show. My main reaction is utter disbelief. But I must tell you that I admire the respect within your marriage. Well done for being great role models Simon & Alex in this respect.
I feel that your children will be the only ones from the show who will be able to watch it as adults and feel no shame.

The problem with Alex is she has no personality. She fights everyone’s battles in an attempt to appear sincere and caring and predominently because otherwise she would have no screen time at all. Bravo have obviously realised this and hence the guillotine fell! She is also clearly deluded about her ability to write a credible book (ok for those who want a good laugh at parents who have raised two undisciplined little monsters). Modelling? Really? When I first tuned into RHONYC I truly thought she was the only sane one until she found her ‘voice’ and thenI just wished she’d shut-up!
Season 4 has just finished showing in the UK and I am addicted to watching the show. I will miss Alex and yourself in the next series – are you both still working in the public eye or have you gone back to leading a private life?

Hi season four reunion has just been aired here in the uk. I dont no how any one can cope on that show! why is it all so bitchy and why is everyone so horrid to eachother? i really like all the ladys for different reasons but i never understand why every one is so fasinated with alex and her hives! i have had this problem all my life and i hate it when people point it out it makes it so much worse. All the other ladies need to back off alex about it and just dont mention it and it woulde probebly dissapear in no time. Im really sad to hear that bravo has had a cast shift around i will miss the original cast apart from cindy shes a weirdo! whats with all the mouth actions she practicaly gurns!
Boy, Samantha, you were pretty harsh. Who’s your favorite, LuAnn and Jill who never met a conversation they couldn’t interrupt? You call those women intelligent? Those people who showed unlimited cruelty, never let anyone EVER finish a sentence, and denigrated and laughed at others? Wow! Those are the people you are aligning with? That sure doesn’t say much about you and your values.

I think you’ll find Simon and Alex are the only two that are realistic about anything. Jill acts like a spoiled brat and has to make a scene at every moment and moan about one thing or another. LuAnn is a total hypocrite to talk about class – she still uses a title that she married into and is now divorced from “the count” so what’s classy about pretending to be something classy? And as Angela said she goes on about other people being involved when she sticks her nose in everyones business and lashes a sharp tongue. Kelly – you’re going to say SHE is more realistic than Alex and Simon? Are you insane? Kelly says something then retracts it to make herself look good then oops suddenly she slipped and admitted the truth then does her “you’re this” “you’re that” to cover it up. Cindy – why have kids when you don’t want to spend time with them? One twin for like 20 minutes and calls a babysitter. Taking a conference call when someones making you breakfast in THEIR home? Rude much? I’ll admit both Ramona and Sonja where a bit off this series but they still look out for each other and are upfront. As is Alex! I’m brunette but dam “Team Brunette” made me want to dye my hair. Load of victims who cry wolf and haven’t got an ounce of decorum or kindness or reality about them.
Thats the most sensible thing I have seen on here lol Cant stand these two and he’s still tweeting about RHoNYC now, looks like he’s gonna carry it on for a while obviously got nothing better to do …………..
Alex is the only girl with true class !!!! As for Luanne, no wonder her husband left her, she does not listen to anything anyone sais. Firstly she interrupts, tells Alex to keep out of her business, yet constantly involves herself in everyone else’s business with the advice you would certainly not give even to children. You are mean and bitch Luanne, and to be so nasty about Alex’s shoes that even designers make mistakes, well it sais it all doesn’t it, because even Counts make mistakes DAAAAARLING ! I don’t write into these things and never have but I had to find a link.
I just seen how Sonja ruined the gay marriage march. Who does stuff like that unless they are out of touch with reality or setting you both up to make you look bad, to trigger you, grate on you? She knew it was something you were passionate about, the dresses were Alex’s idea and she just took it all over like she planned it and you didn’t even exist, you had every right to question her. It was so wrong that she made it about herself, she should have been gracious and a lady and remembered what this was really all about. I can see how it was confusing and upsetting when she kept saying it was her day and you were there to support her. It was wrong she said no one else could speak and she knows it. And if she doesn’t, she’s missing a screw and I wouldn’t want to be friends with someone like that. I’d have loved to see Simon speak and that would have made sense to me and millions others. And because they all like to make jokes about Simon already being gay, he should have been allowed that one moment, it made sense and he’d have made more sense. That march was not the place for her to strong hand her social status, which is all that was about to her, it was clear by what I saw. Her “few words” were ridiculous and thoughtless, did she even know where she was? The whole point was legality of course, but also equality, in the middle of people wanting to have equal rights and she didn’t want to be equal with anyone? hahaha! She completely missed the message and the point, there is no arguing or talking sense to people who only have themselves first and just one day in her life and she couldn’t share, sad
You can’t waste time or energy on a person like this and I’m sorry she did that to you both. Then, with her hidden agenda which was clear after, invites Alex to her portrait unveiling and confronts Alex at the door of her home, starts a fight with her, takes her right off guard especially putting you down like you did something wrong and then yells at Alex to leave when she defends herself and you? lol. She did you a favor Alex, you are better than that and we see it, don’t you worry. These people are all plastic, wouldn’t make it in normal society, but they see that you and Simon are actually real and it irritates them you can’t be converted to the dark side. Don’t try so hard to argue with “empty”, you can’t win, there’s nothing there, walk away especially when you know you are right, we see it, you don’t have to say a word and lower yourself to their level. She set that up to be able to dismiss you in front of numerous people and to make it look like you did something wrong. But the fact is that someone who does that after inviting you into their home is below anyone. And really, look who her friends are, lol….Kelly and Luanne hahaha!, should you expect anything better from her? She is the company she keeps 
Then Sonja tells everyone that Alex started it in her home and that Alex was disrespectful and had bad manners? Wow, unbelievable. She forget cameras are rolling and everyone will see she’s a liar and that Alex would be vindicated? lol. Then to finish it all off, at the very end, “Countess” Luanne…hahaha!….someone who is suppose to be respectful to her title and be a lady and show “class”, makes a childish comment about Alex’s dress and she’d have kicked you out for what she was wearing alone? Someone with any class or maturity wouldn’t even notice that sort of thing, never mind judge or make a comment on something so petty, you are so much better than this Alex 
Please don’t turn into these people, keep your honesty and grace, people do see it. Also, just remember, we come into this world with nothing, and we leave with nothing, who we are as people and how we are towards others is what leaves a mark on this world and that will be legacy you want to leave behind, nothing else matters
Stick with Ramona and Bethanny, they might be harsh sometimes but at least they are honest and say it to your face and let you do the same and you move forward, that’s true friends.

Regarding future casting for RHONY: my thoughts are as follows.
Alex has actually attempted to be the peace maker and friend to all where Jill and Luann and Sonja, I might add, have intentionally and knowingly initiated and conspired. In a nutshell, from my perspective, the real motivations include:
Luann – needs the money, so will do anything to create drama/ melodrama including, but not limited to misrepresenting herself, others, and situations, deflect bad behavior onto others and bully those who are less inclined to such conspiracies; she only befriends those who she feels are best positioned to help her in her pursuit of regaining financial footing (i.e., currently, that is Jill.) Luann needs to go.
Kelly – needs the money; so will do anything to create drama/ melodrama including, but not limited to misrepresenting herself, others, and situations, deflect bad behavior onto others and bully those who are less inclined to such conspiracies; the irony here is how much preached against systematic bullying when it is quite apparent that she is a master of it; she needs to go.
Sonja – needs the money, is loyal to Ramona, wants to be friends with everyone to continue partying, was completely out of line when she attacked Alex at her house about the speaking for marriage equality; Simon did not yell at her. She seems to have redeemed herself with them somehow. She is the most fun of the group and should stay.
Jill – is truly a duplicitous personality who is obviously the most experienced at “mean girl” behavior and has no problem being a friend one day and a frenemy the next day to anyone; this is Jill’s version of normal relationships; it is a classic case of bad programming from her teenage years; she is probably one of the most authentic people on the show. Jill has no scruples, her greatest and most noble trait is the fact that she married a man of integrity who deeply loves her; she is authentically the meanest and most conniving member of the group; she is obvious a leader and is currently taking advantage of Luann and Kelly and they simply are too stupid to realize it which they deserve! Without and “bad guy” in reality or in script, there is no hero….there is no real story; Jill should stay.
Alex is the youngest and most naïve member; she would do well to befriend some women closer to her age that are slightly more adept with dealing with mean girls without actually being one¬- a woman of similar age who is a middle child would be a good candidate.
Cindy is new; she hard working; a bit of a different “single Mom” than most of us are accustomed too, so that is kind of interesting to watch. She is decisive and outspoken which is refreshing. Unfortunately, she aligned herself with the lulu team after Sonja’s little “orientation” which should be corrected and she should stay.
My personal vote: remove Luann and Kelly and add two new housewives closer in age to Alex and with children under the age of 12.
I will be glad when BRAVO finally decides. After being a devoted “never miss an episode” fan, I stopped watching in season 4 in lieu of Luann and Kelly’s duplicitous and unacceptable behavior. I hope they get it right in Season 5.
POST SCRIPT: and it goes without saying that RAMONA should stay!
I wish I could understand, as I’m generally regarded as a good judge of character, how anyone could support Ramona in any way. Is it because her cringeworthy behaviour makes the show less boring? It has to be, because she is, without a doubt, the most unpleasant harpy I have ever come across. Her husband has no interest in her at all and makes it quite obvious by mocking her (or avoiding her) relentlessly. She’s clearly an alcoholic, in denial and constantly displays the most obnoxious behaviour. She is vicious and always hits well below the belt. Am I missing something? As for the others, they are all duplicitious in some way or other but Ramona is just disgusting in every way.
Alex, we love you! Easily the most intelligent and articulate woman out of this pack of yapping hyenas. Please ignore anything that bothers to make its way out of Kelly’s mouth, she has the insight of a dyspraxic 8 year old. Countess sits on a moral highchair dispensing ‘invaluable’ pieces of advice for all the sinners…yawn. Don’t really mind/care about the rest of them, bravo you need to keep Alex, she is becoming the new Bethanny.
I like you and Alex on the show….Jill and the Countless are the ones I can’t stand. Here is a little tidbit…The Countless has to have this gig in order to make money…she only got $2 mil from the count in the divorce…1 mil for each child…so the way she spends money she needs that job….I think it is hilarious the way she made fun of Bethenny just catching up with the rest of them….she has a hell of a lot more Money that the Countless has….LOL. Also, if it wasn’t for Bawbee Jill wouldn’t have money either….I have noticed she doesn’t appreciate anything he does for her….she only complains…Like the time he gave her a new SUV for her birthday…she complained about everything. She needs to be ripped of everything she has and stuck in a 3rd world country for about a year living in a cardboard box…she wouldn’t need a girdle then.
The best way to describe Simon is… He is Real! Seems to me Jill is wasting alot of time and trouble trying to berate Simon. I, for one am tiring of her pettiness.
I love reading @McCordAlex’s and @SimonvanKempens tweets, especially the ones mentioning the boys.
I always say, “If you can’t find anything else to bitch about, take some post out of context and try making a mountain out of a molehill”. lol Jill Zarin, you’re thirst to berate Simon with accusations of “meantweeting” is MEAN. Practice what you preach. Not one of us is perfect. Even you.

I was totally disgusted with the behavior of the so-called “Brunettes” on both reunion shows. I don’t think that any of the “wives” or “husbands” are perfect but the behavior of Jill, LuAnn and Kelly was nauseating. The self-absorbed trio are no longer watchable and their arrogance is off the charts. It is doubtful if I will watch the show if those women are still a part of it. I AM Jewish and I can tell you that Jill Zarin is the biggest yenta I have ever seen (and I’ve seen my share of yentas). She is a trouble maker and a nasty piece of work. Bethenny dumped her for a reason and it wasn’t just because it made for good drama. LuAnn probably can’t make any other female friends because of her belief that she is better than everyone else and Kelly is a wacko who should be confined to a mental hospital. I enjoy Alex and Ramona and scenes where you appear but that’s the extent of my desire to continue following this cast. I also believe that Andy Cohen showed prejudice toward “Brunettes” and was disgusted by his behavior as well. Good luck in your future endeavors and keep on tweeting!!
What makes Jill stand out as the most toxic of all the housewives is that when she goes after someone she doesn’t limit herself to snarky or rude comments, like Ramona and Bethenny. Those two have sharp tongues but good hearts. No, Jill goes for the jugular and tries to completely destroy her target–their marriage, their livelihood, their reputation. Calling someone anti-Semitic is such a devastating charge, yet she doesn’t think twice about throwing it out there purely out of spite. Jill’s capacity for hate and seeking revenge is downright scary. She must be such an unhappy, insecure person.
One point made didn’t make sense: How were you and Jill friends before Alex and Jill were? You both met Jill at the exact same time (via Bethenny at a fashion show). It seemed she tried to include Alex in “girl” events more than you.
Doesn’t answering random tweets from random twits take a lot of your time?
I mean it seems as though you engage with anonymous people via twitter and therefore nurture a conversation that you don’t necessarily want in the first place. Don’t you have a home based business to run that would be more fruitful?

, NY has so much to offer and Bravo is not showing it with the brunettes. I do hope you and Alex return, along with Cindy, who has the whole East/West Village thing going which we did not get to see either. The other blondes can show NY also if they are not busy defending themselves agains grown women who are acting like children. I wish Bravo would realize what a goldmine a true reality show from NY is, thanks for showing us your Brooklyn and the art and the up and coming designers, you both really do try to keep it about life in the city, and I hope Bravo keeps you and the blondes on (and Cindy) and lets the others go, they don’t add to the show at all.

Sorry, Simon, I don’t think that’s the whole story. The comment about the countess and telling a woman to with out is not appropriate or classy. Also, your behavior at alex’s photoshoot was horrid. You’ve been so angry this season.
Simon~ Is it true that Alex won’t be coming back next season? I’ve been reading comments on her Bravo blog, and there are people who allude to that possibility. If that’s so, you can count me outof watching anymore RHN. The brunettes never allow anyone to finish their thoughts — ever. LuAnn, Kelly (weird), Jill and even the fourth brownhead (can’t think of her name right now) are all snots and excessively superior. It hurt to see their vitriol directed towards Alex. Their hatred/anger distorted their faces and showed their inner ugliness. Please tell me that Alex will be back next season.
You and your lovely wife are the best! To me, the two of you are the only one’s who actually live a normal life. Jill is just mean, LuAnn is a part time mom. When children are teenagers, they need more supervision then toddlers. Kelly lives in Kelly Land. Cindy should just go away. Ramona is a scream, and Sonja seems to have a good heart.
Simon, the first year of RHONY I was a bit on the fence. I truly didn’t quite get either of you guys. I must say, initially, I did not have an abosolute favorable opinion of either you or Alex. As the years have passed, and more is revealed of your lives, I just think you two are the most genuine of all the featured people on your show. I appreciate that you back up all your issues with genuine facts! I just wish the others would do the same. I love how intelligent and personable your kids are too

I had actually liked you guys until Simon made the countess without the O comment. I am disappointed because I really wished you would apologized for that. As a woman I was shocked to see Alex defend that comment as if it was ok and yet you’re so bothered by the word class. You really don’t have sink to such levels to prove your point. You only made yourself out to be as low as they were!
I actually did feel bad how Singer had a melt down at Jill’s Ladies Nite dinner (Season 1) where LuAnn tried to diffuse the tense atmosphere and Jill did extend a lot of chances to get to know them. Kelly actually tried to divert McCord from further embarassing moments to w/c many thinks she should have watch in the side line. Why were they (Singer, Frankel and McCord) not accountable for ganging up on Kelly at Scary Island? So, those behviours are excusable?
I can agree w/ osk comment regarding the need to apologized and Mccord defending such immature display of characters. I never did like the Van Kempens from the start, anyways.

It just amazes me how those women and especially Jill can talk about bullying anyone when that is all they did at the reunion. Alex is a sweet and intelligent person and they can not stand it.
Those brunettes are insecure, envious women- who can’t stand that Alex is intelligent, articulate, and has a loving husband!!

Hi Simon, I really like you and Alex and think you guys are a great couple. I dont think it’s strange that you invited Jill out for a Diet Coke to clear the air at all. You and she were friends and as friends you invited her to talk one on one. Why Jill, Bobby and crazy Kelly thought that was weird I’ll never understand. You and Alex have a great relationship. I also do not believe ay of this mean tweeting nonsense. Jill is a professional victim. I really hate when Jill acts like an idiot and the uses the “I’m not perfect” line to defend it or she’ll tell others that they need to have more tolerance for her. That drives me nuts.
I also think that many of those women are really mean to Alex. It’s difficult to watch at times. I think Alex has a heart of gold and isnt great at confrontation. I think she needs to stick to taking the high road with them and not stoop to their level with name calling or snaky comments. Alex has way too much class for that.
I agree with one of the other posters who said that this cast need a re-haul. I personally would love to see you and Alex return, Sonja and Ramona and scrap the rest. I dont feel like we are getting much of New York from this gang. I want to see more New York, more New York lifestyle (subways, broadway, the beautiful city etc) instead of these catty bitchy women. Maybe ravo will revamp this cast a bit.

i really like you guys but at this point nobodys willing to forgive anybody for anything and the viewers do not want to see anyone fight anymore. A complete recast should definitely be done to preserve the brand.
It is beyond appalling to have these grown women call your wife, a bitch, an idiot and to repeatedly tell her to shut up. WTH does that ??? I am serious, this is just beyond the imagination. They are SOO snide to Alex. Even Cindy who barley knows Alex has such a mean and snide look on her face when she speaks to Alex. It seems so personal. I am flabbergasted that she is able to keep her composure at all.
Simon, people call you the eighth housewife on the show — and you kind of were. But you were the BEST housewife on the show! You and and Alex are the most intelligent and giving individuals on the show. While the other women get worked up about rumors, backstabbing, etc… and promote events that are self-serving, I see you and Alex getting worked about social justice, equality, truth… And I see you two hosting events that benefit the community. I loved that you hosted an art event in your home in Brooklyn to honor to NY Arts board. Forget those who look down on Brooklyn, they don’t have the heart that you do to be open-minded, understanding, and accepting of all people and places. Those who talk about social ladders and pecking orders— they’re beneath you.

The brunettes were being so rude to her; it was like they were bullying her. I don’t care about who started it but that group certainly bring new meaning to the word Bully. They are all bullies. Simon, I have looked forward to watching this show for no other reason than to see You, Alex and Bethenny do well. I feel like so much of the drama caused by the other cast members if so fake and really drawn out. Why doesn’t Bravo show these “hardworking” housewives actually doing something other than partying. Why not show us average people, what being involved with a charity really means, what working together to spread peace, to help the less fortunate. I can flip on any station and see a bunch of “rich” people pretending. I think that is why I like Bethenny and her new show. It seems real! I wish you and your family the Best. As for the other ladies. they say money can’t buy you class, but they are doing a heck of a job trying to make everyone think that all that matters is money. Even at the expense of their children, marriages, family, friends and dignity. How very sad for them.
I regret to say that I’m done watching RHONY. This reunion was more than I can take and I’m sick of Andy being a wuss too. He continues to let these women sidestep accountability. I will not watch one more second if Luann, Cindy, Kelly and Jill continue to be part of the show.
Obviously, Alex is the most intelligent of the group but she needs to just stop trying to reason with women who have no logic and don’t possess the common sense God gave sheep!

Simon I knew when Jill accused you of mean bullying that it wasnt true. I didnt even need the proof because I am well aware of the gossip,tale toter she is. Luann and her condesending attitude and remarks to Alex,Ramona is only showing us how much she lacks in the c department. I wont say the word cause I know Alex dosent use it and I understand why. It is obvious Luann has none or she wouldnt be trying to prove to everyone in a video that she does. People know what you are and who you are by how you act,treat people,and what you say about people when they arent there. I think the reunion episodes are the most painful and cringe-worthy. I believe most of the ladies have valid points to make. I like each of the women for who they are and even for their quirks. Each episode, depending on editing, has me empathizing with different ladies. I enjoy Alex’s blogs because she is thorough. The name calling on the show doesn’t bother me as much as when the ladies call each other ‘idiots.’ I don’t know why, but insulting intelligence is worse than using body parts (or other nasty words) as insults. I never believed that you bullied Jill through tweeters and contrary, I feel that Jill, Kelly and Luann bullied you by all the comments that were made about you. I am also dissappointed on Jill’s behavior after you had a heartfelt conversation with her telling her how much you appreciated her friendship and than turns around and talks bad about you. I also feel that there was nothing wrong in asking Jill for lunch since it was suppose to be a friendship and shouldn’t have been taken the wrong way – what now? they are all puritan? I don’t think they understand the strong marriage that you and Alex have, where there’s trust and respect. During the entire S-1, Alex wanted to be considered a socialite and searched for “connectors” like Jill, etc. In the S-1 reunion, both Simon and Alex prattled on that they wanted to be in a higher station in life (& that everyone else did to). Therefore, Alex’s “class” aversion is disingenuous.
B-Girl57, Alex never wanted to be nor ever claimed to be a socialite. Her point with class is that it’s not something you say; it’s something you do & have (or not). It’s also never a word you should use to describe oneself. Alex’s doesn’t have an aversion to improving one’s station in life & I can’t see a contradiction with that & her thinking that class should be seen & not heard.
It appears as if Luanne and Jill are spearheading a movement to get you & Alex off the show. Be careful! You two are the only reason I even started watching the Real Housewives series. You’re the most interesting people I’ve ever seen on reality TV.

Just wanted to ask Simon, where in Australia were you from? I moved to Perth 9 yrs ago from Cambridge UK but have also lived on the east coast both in Sunshine and Gold coast and also Sydney area……do you ever come back for holidays with the family? How does NY compare to Australia?
Mandy, I was born in Brisbane in 1964 and moved to Walgett, NSW in 1967. In 1970 we moved to Ballina, NSW as my father had a serious heart condition and needed to be closer to major hospitals. Six weeks after we arrived in Ballina he died of a massive heart attack but we stayed there for a further 7 years. In 1977 we returned to Brisbane. I lived there until April 1986 when I moved to London. I sort of moved to Sydney in February 1999 but my then consulting job had me spending one week a month on four different continents. I met Alex on a business trip to NYC in May 1999, and we fell in love quickly. We were on a trip together at Port Douglas on the Great Barrier Reef in October 1999 when we became engaged. In January 2000 we rented an apartment in Manhattan as by then I decided my consulting job could be based anywhere. I’ve been in NYC since then.
Alex has gone with me to Australia four times, Francois twice & Johan once. We were last there visiting my two brothers & mother in July 2009.
As it’s 25 years since I left Australia I don’t really know it well anymore. When I left Brisbane in 1986 it was a much smaller city than it is now.
I loved living in London for 13 years (part of that time I lived in Paris for a year). but I must say New York City is my favorite place of all.
Thanks for the quick reply. I have been considering coming to New York as I have friends there who also say they love it. I can see your family is very important to you and Alex appears to be a very genuine and loyal person. You both complement each other and the boys will thank you for it later on i’m sure….Australia has changed soooo much just in the time I have lived here and the diversity is amazing. My husband is Danish and works as a pilot so, like you, we were not tied to one country and opted for Australia after travelling around europe in the early 90′s. We have 5 children (4 girls and youngest being a boy) and watching the show is giving me itchy feet to perhaps see what life would be like in NY for us before the children get too old. I must say I hope that the women of NY are more like Alex, and the kelly’s, Lu Anns and Jills are more of a minority group??

All I can say to the tweets you showed on here is keep exposing the people who are doing this crap! If it is Jill, she needs to be exposed for the nasty person she truly is showing she has been and still is this season. She is not nice to anyone unless it benefits her! Very self centered and very rude. When ever Alex tried to speak she bellowed her own insults accross the room. She did the same to Ramona who I find a bit weird and quite rude as well. Louann deserved the countess with the o removed comment! I would not appologize to that fake EVER! Just keep watching the action on twitter I suppose and keep exposing and eventually the truth will come out on Jill.. She can’t hide behind other people forever.. she will get caught! This show has become unbearable to watch. The ONLY normal person is Alex! Watching Kelly talk over her and try to demean is her is actually sickening. I too wish you two would have a spin off and get rid of the other women!
Simon, you and Alex are great! You are open minded and peace loving. Both of you have repeatedly tried to work things out, offer foregiveness and accept these extremely emotionally wounded women. And all you’ve gotten for it is abuse and a conspired attempt to discredit and defame you both. You really are above them and FAR more interesting! I really do wish you would have your own show as I really can’t bring myself to watch RHoNY anymore. It makes me feel sick to my stomach and has little redeming value. Only wish BRAVO would see that.
Simon, I really enjoy you and Alex on the show. I wish Bravo would do a show about you and Alex based on your book. It would be so much fun to see how a loving, working couple raises two boys in the Big Apple. I won’t be watching another RHONY season if the brunettes are in it. I find them all hateful and boring. The difference between Alex and the others is that Alex genuinely has a kind heart and a generous spirit. That’s why she’s not good at confrontation. She’s good to her core. Can’t say the same about the rest of them! I remember awhile back when Jill Zarin was whining about not being popular in high school. That’s because she wasn’t nice then and she’s not nice now. The camera doesn’t lie and what we see of her isn’t pretty no matter how much botox she gets! All the best to your family!
You and Alex are truly kind, honest, articulate people. In case you needed a reality check from a long time RHONY viewer. This year I could not get through a single episode without turning it off because of the vitriol (from the brunettes). The snippets I saw of the reunions were absolutely disturbing. I used to love the show, but all the bullying against Alex and Ramona was abhorent and unwatchable. And, I tried. Very disappointing. Don’t know what Bravo was thinking in its editing, or what Andy was thinking in his management of the reunion. If this gets ratings, then it’s just sad. Horrendous display of immaturity and anger and delusion (again, Jill, Kelly and Luann).
For the record: I can testify that this interraction between Simon and I did take place, exactly as recorded above. Also, I can assure anyone and everyone that I myself am not anti-semitic, although I can be a mean tweeter at times, especially towards Jill Zarin, but it is meant as sarcastic, snarky humor and not cyberbullying. My meaning in this instance was that Jill Zarin displays horrible behaviour and as a public personna, representing the Jews (her stance), I consider her “bad for the jews” as she is giving them a bad reputation by association. I was using Andy Cohen’s own WWHL game terms and he frequently brings up cast members or other public figures who are Jewish and has his guests answer “good for the jews”? or “bad for the jews”? I personally have always enjoyed my jewish friends and neighbors. I only dislike Jill Zarin and that’s as far as my statement went. Thank you for listening. P.S. I just want to say that Simon, you went the right direction in disproving Jill’s lies. Rather than going to the media, like she seems to do often, you confronted it head on, & in a rather mature manner. I absolutely love you & Alex, & can’t believe how the brunettes, who are roughly middle aged, acted! Not just in the reunion, but the whole season! And the fact that Ms. Perfect, the Countess, said Alex should control you, is ludicrous. Women have fought for years & years to be independant, & would never allow for a man to control them! So why is it okay for it to go the other way around? Keep being you, & Jill will obviously continue being her, which is someone who has NOT changed, & probably never will.

This is a little unrelated to your blog, Simon. But I have to tell you how thankful I am to you and Alex for fighting for marriage equality. Not many straight men would go as far as to openly and proudly take pictures with gay couples and wear gay pride colors at a gay rights event. I love you and Alex for your forward thinking and progressive point of views. I love Sonja to death, but I still wish you could have spoken at the marriage equality march. Its uplifting to see straight men who are so aggressively advocate about gay rights. I respect the other RHONY husbands / boyfriends and I am sure they are for gay rights too, but I didn’t see any of them at the march! Way to represent, Simon. It is so, so appreciated.
Alex hit it right on the head when Andy asked the housewives what they thought of the marriage equality bill. She said “I hope that by the time this reunion airs, the bill will be passed. It’s not a political thing. It’s not a religious thing. It’s just fairness.” THANK YOU ALEX. I COULD NOT SAY IT BETTER MYSELF. Homosexuals are not second class citizens. It is unfair and completely backwards that they can not get married in most U.S. states. It should NOT be a religious or political issue! I am a devout Christian. I believe in Jesus and I believe in God and I believe in the bible. I am also gay. As is my youth minister. Christianity is about love and light. Not about the rules in a book. You are no less a child of God if you support gay marriage.

You know, I actually liked them last season. But then as time went on Simon and his tweets got very annoying. Then both of their behavior on the show this season was inappropriate and very immature. The way he went at SOnja in the first couple episodes with the march was out of line. Then Alex went at Jill for anything she could think of.
I have been following Simon since last year and his tweets are continuously about Jill and/or Kelly. He also retweets his fan’s tweets that are neagtive and agree with them and elaborate on them. Wow! What a show. I am a brunette and the NY brunettes on the show give us a bad name (mostly the red head Jill)! I cannot imagine acting how they did on national tv. I wonder how they feel when they look back on this video! I would be so embarrassed. They should all take a copy of the video with to their children’s schools and let their peers watch it to see what wonderful role models these ladies are. I would not talk to my Mom again if she acted like that. Jill should play the video at her anti-bullying event since she is the biggest bully of all!

Luann appears to be an elegant woman, but when she opens her mouth, she is the MOST condescending person I ever heard talk. Not sure if you noticed, but she avoided a lot of questions by laughing loudly and acting as though she was higher than everyone else.

I am still in awe over the reunion. I never write on blogs or do anything like this, but couldn’t help it. I hate when I see people picking on someone else who doesn’t deserve it.
People wonder why teenagers commit suicide when they are bullied. Just think of the younger people that watch this show. Now they think it’s o’k to treat each other in this manner because they saw Luann, Kelly, and Jill (women in their 50′s) acting like bullies.

Alex is a genuine person, wonderful soul and should not associate with those negative women.
Alex – You have been a class act this season. Jill continues to be the grade-A mean girl – absolutely clueless about what the words “gossip” or “inappropriate” or “snide” means – much like a delusional high schooler. The only reality that Luann has demonstrated – is her extremely passive-aggressive class-less behavior and horrific musical non-talent. She really believes her own “countess” fantasy about herself. Both Luann and Jill have so many people in their “social” circle that feed them their own bull, that they really believe they “own” you, Alex. Only you have never swallowed their bull – and they cannot stand it!! They constantly think if they (the “society queen & countess”) ask a question, others MuSt answer them. And if you don’t give them their “correct” answer – they will bully you until you do. Unfortunately, Alex, you & Simon never got the email or tweet on that.
And Ramona lost the email this season. She has shown great restraint and healthy behavior in owning her actions and not getting sucked into the lies and accusations thrown at her by Jill & Luann’s “group” – in spite of her verbal missteps that make her Ramona – And forgivable. She had no reason to succumb to Jill’s bullying about St. Bart’s. Jill is the embarrassment in that situation – not Ramona – and not you, Alex. (And of course – what can we say about Kelly?)
As for Luann’s Morocco adventure – She really thought she was sitting on the Moroccan throne & you – and the others – needed to kiss her feet for it. Again, you missed the email. What a bossy cow Luann is. And that is class-less. The only throne she has can be found sitting next to the bathtub.
Luann thinks she knows everything and mocks others in such a juvenile and cruel manner. The way she treated you should be put in her book next to her picture as Class-less.
Furthermore, Kelly is such is a Jill & Luann “Lapdog”, who has found that doing their bidding will afford her some social protection – and has jumped on that and really rode the circus to town! Something is terribly wrong with Kelly – it seems to me that she suffers from some serious cognitive impediment, either part of some emotional or physical damage. She really has no abilty to string coherent thoughts together in a meaningful way. I find her to be distracting, but you really cannot reason with her, as she is impaired. Don’t try ever again, Alex, but treat her kindly.
The way Jill and Luann has implied horrid gossipy things about Simon and Mario is despicable. You and Ramona seem to have the only realistic and healthy relationships with men on this show. Once Betheny developed a healthy relationship with a man, it became apparent to her their baseless jealousies would push them to any lengths.
As for Luann’s relationship – it is an embarrassment. Enough said. He’s how much younger? How long does anyone think this will last? As long as he gets the social attention he wants.
Alex, the fact that you would have no problem with Simon having lunch with Jill or any other woman, shows you & Simon have an open and healthy and trusting relationship and he is capable of speaking on his own. As are you.
As for Cindy – what a social wannabe loser. Again, a Jill & Luann Lapdog. She thinks she’s going to get somewhere on their coat tails. These women are so high-school. If that’s the social circle of New York City – You should be soooo glad you live in Brooklyn!
If you decide not to come back next season – I won’t watch. But, that’s okay – You and Simon should do your own show.

You know I am finding it so so difficult to put my thoughts about this reunion show into words. I was just completely gobsmacked by the behavior of Jill Zarin on this show. And Luann was equally as horrid. Kelly? well, I never take Kelly seriously. She is a mindless, crank-ho with nothing to contribute to this show or life in general.
Andy bugs me as much as the brunettes do. He has lost all credibility with me. Andy and the network have been paid off by some Hollywood, heavy- duty rap moguls among otherssss to leave Kelly alone. There is a “hands off” policy with Kelly and Andy steps right in line and obeys orders. I have heard from several people in NY that this is indeed a FACT. Andy is a total wuss and is so afraid of making waves with people that have “power” in the industry. Andy sold his balls this season and needs to step down and be replaced. His after show bullshit is a total joke. He invites celebs, that do not even WATCH the damn show to come on after arguably the 2 BIGGEST, most important episodes and comment on it. And…they…don’t….even…WATCH the showwwww. Can ya say WTF? I mean…My God! What a total moron. We want to see the cast members on his stupid, silly show. Not supporting actors from Showtime series, gay pals from Fire Island and LA and Emmy winners from shows that went off the air 5 years ago!!! It just really pisses me off that Andy is just such a sell out and he has sold out the entire premise of this show, in my opinion.
What started out as simple folly, and a guilty pleasure…a fun way to pass a Sunday evening after the kids were in bed…a way to sneak a peek into the lives of the rich and famous and see how the “other side” lives…Has now become a seriously disturbing documentary on: adultery, bullying, mean girls, cliques, poor behavior, rude manners, bankruptcies, financial problems and bad boob jobs. I feel duped and I’m pissed off.
Seriously..I want my money back!!! This is NOT the show I signed on for!!
I am going to put my money where my mouth is and IF the brunettes return to RHONY and Alex/Simon are NOT included, I will NO LONGER WATCH the RH series and I will unfollow ALL of them on my Twitter.

Most of these women have crossed all lines of common decency. They have backstabbed, they have accused each other’s spouses of adultery with no evidence, they have been critical and mean to CHILDREN, they have thrown accusations of racism around, and perfected the role of professional victim.
I cannot stand Jill Zarin and I won’t support any project in which she benefits in any way. I’m sick of the nice guys finishing last. I want to see some justice for once.

I am a special ed teacher with 21 yrs of experience and the ONLY observations I have made re: your kid’s development based on the extremely BRIEF clips we get to see of him, are that he is an intensely curious little chap with a keen mind and mature ability to focus his attention. Your sons are charming, bright, funny little guys and I sincerely hope that you and Alex are able to dismiss all of the garbage talk about your sons. I know as a parent it would offend me deeply and I really do not know how you and Alex are able to keep your cool.
Even IF one of your sons had issues, do people really think that you and Alex would simply ignore it? You are both well-educated, insightful people and if either one of your sons exhibited behaviors that alarmed or concerned you, I KNOW you would seek a professional assessment at the earliest possible moment.

Susan, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Alex & I can’t take all sorts of comments thrown at us but when they’re are directed at our kids we get neanderthal, so to speak. Francois is an exceedingly intelligent and incredibly inquisitive little guy, who now attends a school for gifted & talented children in New York City. People seem to forget that this is a show designed to highlight everyone’s bad behavior and the kids, when filmed are not treated much differently. Jill brought a print out to the reunion of an alleged ‘mean tweet’ by me but she was wrong, Andy debunked it and made her look a fool, but for some reason Bravo didn’t include the footage in tonight’s episode.
I stand by my thought that Jill’s version of life is that if someone doesn’t just “LOVE” her, then they are being mean to her. This outlook fits her level of im-maturity.

We’ll see. In principle yes, but this season’s darkness has to change not just for our good but for the good of the show. A shake up must occur in Season 5 casting. Personally I hope Bravo doesn’t reward bad behavior and listens to their own fans & viewers.

I have been a loyal watcher of RHoNY but I have to admit after this season, I seriously doubt I will watch again. Mainly because of how it seems to have affected everyone in their personal lives. I have quit following everyone on FB and Twitter, with the exception of you and Alex, because you both were kind enough to follow back. The posts are nothing more than a self promotion for I would hazard, 95% of them. With celebrity, to me, comes an obligation to do good for others and I see very little outreaching from any of the housewives, that again isn’t a self promotion and all of you guys are far old enough to be past the “me me me” stages in life. The world as a whole has had several horrifying natural disasters and yet not one of you were tweeting or FBing Red Cross numbers, or similar aide numbers to your fans. Having said that, I think that Alex’s last statement that the housewives would bring her down on the social ladder, were she climbing it, would be enough to take her off of the show. It was more of an insult to BRAVO than to the intended.

I am watching this show with my daughter and I must say that this is an absolute mess. All of you are successful and beautiful and you are behaving like animals. I hope none of you allow your daughters to watch this show. You should be embarrassed and ashamed. Women have so much to overcome and we should be supportive of each other.
