Hey all — as promised, we’re going to list out what we wore in each episode, with screen grabs when possible.
Here Simon is wearing head-to-toe John Bartlett, and while I wait for my 1,000th glass of champagne I’m wearing what I like to call the “Etch-a-Sketch” dress by Rolando Santana (because the sequins are black on one side and white on the other; you can write your name in it by rolling over the sequins!) I happen to wear a lot of Rolando’s work in this episode, and he sells all over the country, as well as a limited run on Bluefly…so go for it!
While we work together at home, I’m in a t-shirt by Walter, sandals by Cynthia Vincent and earrings by Ray Griffiths. The necklace is something I’ve had for a while and unfortunately don’t know where it is from. Simon is in a John Bartlett shirt, pink moccasins by Fins and we are both wearing Vintage Revolution jeans. The cat was wearing fur.
Again Alex is in a Rolando Santana dress, and a great costume choker from Housing Works with silver Cavalli heels. Simon is rocking Diesel leather pants, a custom made red shirt from a tiny little boutique in the Hampstead Heath area of London, and a label-less but nonetheless fun-looking jacket he picked up at a Divas Shop for Opera event.
No makeup makeup, a Walter tank top on Alex and a t-shirt on Simon for Dance New Amsterdam. And an overly sliced bagel.
On Alex, a cream & beige Rolando Santana dress, Cavalli heels, cocktail ring by Ray Griffiths, Sunglasses by Jee Vice, Cream clutch by Sevy and earrings by Thad Cline. On Simon, Versace suit, Thomas Pink shirt and tie, Cavalli belt and Church’s brogues.

I think it’s great that you’re going to list your fashion choices each episode. It might even inspire me to care more about what I wear! I’ll be honest, I didn’t like that you and Ramona wore white (or close to white) at Glenn and Jen’s wedding but I did think you looked gorgeous in it. You just need to save it for another fabulous soiree! Simon looked dashing as always.
P.S- “The cat was wearing fur.” is my favorite part.

What has Peta said about the cat wearing fur?? I think you & Simon look fabulous, you especially Alex. Absolutely gorgeous. I’m not a fan of guests wearing white or off white to a wedding either, but I’m pretty sure the world has bigger problems.
I’m glad you’ve found your voice since last season, but I hope the aggressive tone in it mellows out a bit, so we can continue to see the poised and grounded women we’ve come to adore.
She tried mellow in previous seasons. I think a bit aggressive is good, because maybe they’ll actually start to listen.

I think it was ok for Alex & Ramona to wear off-white to that wedding becuz it was a summer daytime wedding.
How antiquated is the view of light colours being a taboo at weddings! Jill Zarin has as much class as a cockroach on a ham sandwich! Besides, did she think that her Madonna circa 1991 look would sell a line of clothes that did not have Madonna as the endorsee?
I dont know any woman in their 60′s that wants to resemble a 60+ year old Jill Zarin trying to be Madonna!
Though the rule is old, I happen to think it’s an oldie but a goodie. As far as Jill goes, that outfit screamed trying too hard. Jill looks good for her age but she looks even better when she just wears something elegant or pretty, not what some might consider a Halloween costume.
I absolutely agree with your comment about Jill, chrisilla. I think that she looked terrible. That is just my opinion and many may disagree. I had thought that the white at a wedding thing went out many many years ago.
Alex & Simon you are my absolute favorite on the show. The two of you are ‘real’!! And that is what I love so much about you.
I did not think she was trying to look like madonna but like Bethenny when she wears her hair in a ponytail. “Scary Island” on WWHL!!!
This rule is not actually against wearing white…it’s against wearing something that is bridal and white. Generally, that means you need to be in a floor length gown of stark white, with up-swept adorned hairdo. At a casual, out-door summer wedding, what Ramona and Alex were wearing was quite appropriate. I guess Jill doesn’t wear white after Labor Day either. Please Jill, get that hobby.
For someone who claims to be such a fashionista, I was shocked to hear Jill agree with that SO out of date rule! Alex and Ramona looked gorgeous and fresh! I’ve worn cream and white to many weddings. Alex, you always look great! I especially loved your look while working in your office with Simon; casual, but very hip! I adored that necklace! Too bad you can’t remember where it came from.

Jen, I find it so amazing that you would refer to Alex the way you do. I have met her and spent time with her and believe me, she is gorgeous, tall and slim, a lovely lady in every way. I realize she can’t please everyone but truly, you are way off base in your comments. Alex is a genuine, sincere and very likeable woman. If you ever get to meet her, you will understand what I’m saying.
Alex I know you were focused on the cause etc but even there at her house Sonia was going on about it being her day.
there is really no point in trying to talk sense to people like that, because they just don’t hear you.
They live in a different reality where everything is all about them, all the time. That’s all they know and the only kind of thinking they can do.
At the art party, as soon as she launched into that faux concilation speech and then started hurling insults at your husband, the only thing you needed to say was “Good Evening,” and walk out the door.
I don’t care how much Simon annoys her or how displeased she is with his fashion choices. You don’t say things like that to people about their spouses.
And if anyone does say it about your spouse, then you remove yourself from that situation, because the only thing you could possibly say would be to observe that she was apparently raised by a cement yard goat.
