Nicholas K 2013 A/W Collection

It was a blustery February morning at Lincoln Center, but the Nicholas K mens and women’s collection made me feel warm and cozy inside. With an arctic theme, each look involved layers of knitwear in wool, jersey and silk. At Mercedes Benz Fashion Week you expect chic, but I was also struck by how comfortable and wearable each ensemble seemed. I found myself staring at the shoes as well (also by Nicholas K.)  Herewith, a few of my favorite looks:

Nicholas K 2013 A/W - Look 30

Look 30 is one I’d happily wear myself. Here on model Ksenia, the Burn jacket in Mercury Heather, Liberty top in Lead, Jagger pant in Mercury and Ivy wedge shoe in Heather. Delicious.

Look 39 offered a departure from neutrals into the blue family with the Madge dress in Veridian, Scarf Hoody in Pacific Heather and the Bank wedge shoe in Brine on model Makenna. All in all, another fabulous show produced by the good folks at People’s Revolution, styled by Wendy Schecter.
