Welcome to our family's website. Here you can learn a little more about us; who we are, where we've come from and what's contributed to making us what we are.
Simon and I are lucky to have not only each other but two beautiful sons, Francois and Johan. Although living in NYC can be hectic we try to never be out, no matter how many invitations we receive, more than two times each week and never on consecutive nights. This means that we put the boys to bed and get them up each morning almost all the time, which is very important to us.
Although we both work full time in demanding but rewarding careers I take Francois to school two times each week and Simon takes him the other three. Francois also attends weekly swimming and sports classes after school and Johan attends music, tumbling and art classes throughout the day and will start pre-school in the fall.
From the show you'll see we like to spend money - but only on good things and you'll see lots of other stuff too. Being able to afford such luxuries is one of the reasons I work as we both fervently believe that income is for spending and capital is for construction and college or when something out of the ordinary occurs (and we hope it never does!). I was lucky that throughout and between both my pregnancies I stayed out of the work force and didn't return to it until Johan was 14 months old. The time I spent with them both during those formative months and years was a wonderful experience that I cherish.
What you'll see on the show is but a snapshot of our lives and trust me when I say that if the cameras were trained on us 24/7 you'd likely see a family spending time at home and out at play with the same frustrations and joys as millions of others across the USA. The difference is we are lucky to be able to do it in New York City. Between us we've lived in London, Milan, Paris, Sydney, Brisbane, Chicago, Washington DC and several other smaller towns and without a doubt NYC is the best of them all.
